Client Manager - Personal Gardener

Meet Nathan Adams – Your Personal Gardener

I’ve always loved helping people create and maintain beautiful, thriving landscapes. Becoming a Personal Gardener gave me the perfect opportunity to guide clients in choosing the right plants for the right locations and maintaining their outdoor spaces using best practices.

Building Relationships Through Landscape Care
My favorite part of this role is being the go-to person for my clients. Whether they have questions about plant care or need advice on tackling landscape challenges, I enjoy building relationships and helping them feel confident in their gardening journey.

My Go-To Gardening Tip
“Mulch every year!” It’s a practice I swear by. Proper mulching not only helps control weeds but also adds nutrients back into the soil, keeping your landscape beds healthy and thriving.

A Memorable Project
One of my favorite projects was transforming a client’s backyard by clearing invasive honeysuckle and planting native shrubs and trees. Now their yard is home to beautiful redbuds, Cherokee Princess dogwoods, red twig dogwoods, viburnums, and more. Seeing the space come to life with native plants was incredibly rewarding.

My Favorite Plant
If I could plant one thing in every garden, it would be a redbud. It’s a native tree that produces stunning blooms every spring, adding vibrant color and charm to any landscape.

Advice I Give to Gardeners
“Do not overplant. Be patient and give your plants room to grow and fill in the landscape naturally.” Taking your time and planning thoughtfully is the key to creating a landscape that will thrive for years to come.
