Fall Garden Walkabout

Join us for a free, informal walk through our garden spaces as we talk about how to prepare your garden beds for winter. We’ll cover which plants respond well to pruning, which ones are best left standing to provide food and shelter for wildlife, and good pruning practices for a variety of perennials and shrubs.

Harvest Succulent Workshop
Workshop attendees created one-of-a-kind fall displays using specialty gourds, succulents and natural embellishments. These long-lasting creations are made to adorn their homes throughout the fall season and no two are alike!
Build Your Own Terrarium
At our Build Your Own Terrarium event, customers chose a medium or large container and we provided everything else needed to build it. Each guest left with a little living world of their own, something they could keep forever.
Orchid Repotting
This free Orchid Repotting Workshop invited customers to bring their own 2 to 6 inch orchid and repot it alongside Berns staff and special guest Teresa Huesman, a member of the Greater Cincinnati Orchid Society and the Miami Valley Orchid Society. Teresa covered basic orchid care and shared tips and tricks for growing healthy orchids, then walked attendees through the repotting process step by step. Everyone left with a freshly repotted orchid and the know-how to keep it thriving.
