A Note from the Berns Family Spring 2026 | Berns' 70th Anniversary

A Note from the Berns Family Spring 2026 | Berns' 70th Anniversary

It is hard to believe there are only a few days left in May. While there are still three weeks of spring left on the calendar — and June is a wonderful time to plant (I do all my planting in June) — this feels like the right moment to pause, look back, and say thank you.

Because this wasn't just any spring. This was our 70th Anniversary.

Seventy years of plants. Seventy spring seasons. Seventy years of helping people bring something living and beautiful into their homes, their yards, and their lives. That's not something we take lightly.

Thank You to Our Amazing Team

First, I want to say thank you to this incredible team — the people who showed up every day this spring and made the 2026 season something truly special. You worked hard, you cared deeply, and together we accomplished things I'm genuinely proud of. Every plant placed, every question answered, every customer helped — that was you. Thank you.

Thank You to All Those Who Came Before Us

Seventy years is a long time, and what we are today was built on the work of everyone who came before us. To the team members, family, and community who shaped Berns across the decades — whether you were with us for one month or forty years — we are standing on the shoulders of those who came before us, and we're grateful. The foundation you built made everything we do today possible.

Thank You to Our Customers

Whether you're a longtime loyal customer who remembers shopping with us on Yankee Road, or whether this spring was your very first time visiting — we're so glad you're here. Our purpose, the reason we do what we do, is to bring plants into people's lives. And every time you choose us, you give us the opportunity to fulfill that purpose. We don't take that trust for granted.

It's our honor to serve this community, and we look forward to growing alongside you for many more seasons to come.

Kind Regards,

Keith Berns

Always my happy place on a rainy day! God knows we have had many of those rainy days this spring. Glad to see the blue skies open up & the sun shine on my beautiful plantings. Thank you for allowing me to stroll through & let my mind wander….

Ah! As old as I am young. Truly my happy place where I love to wander, learn names of plants and just feel pure joy of displays and availabilities in any season. This year, in May, no exception! Bursting colors and texture!

I am a little older than your business. I can remember going to your place on Yankee Road with my mother when I was a little girl. Then in later years, when I had my own home, we would go together. Now my own daughters shop there. It has always been a “happy place” for me to be, such beauty for the eyes to behold. Thank you for a lot of beautiful plants and trees, and happy memories!

You never disappoint in the beautiful abundant variety you have every season. You are really the only place I love for flower shopping!
Thank you also for your Berns Bucks program…sorry you are discontinuing that.
